“Blessed are the curious for they shall have adventures.”
– Lovelle Drachman
My name is Diana Nemethy and I am extremely excited to be your child's 3rd Grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year!
I spent my childhood years in Germany and Hungary before moving to California as a teenager. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders and Speech Sciences as well as my teaching credentials from the University of Colorado Boulder. I began teaching in California in 2001, where I taught primary grades up until I moved back to our beautiful state of Colorado with my family five years ago.

I have been married for 18 years to my wonderful husband who is an aerospace engineer – we call him our Rocket Scientist! We have two children who keep us busy with swim meets and soccer tournaments. My son, Andreas, is a sophomore at CU Boulder and my daughter, Abigel, is a junior at Mountain Vista High School. We also have a super sweet Cavapoo puppy named Bentley who has been keeping us busy with lots of walks and playtime. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, baking, hiking, listening to music, and traveling as much as I can.

Third grade is an exciting year in your child's life. As a teacher, I strive to create a warm and safe learning community for my students. I believe that children need a nurturing environment where they feel comfortable sharing their own thoughts and ideas, ask questions, and even make mistakes. I encourage parents to be a partner in their child’s learning. I welcome volunteers during our daily classroom learning and various events throughout the school year.

Thank you for sharing your child with me. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, adventures, new friendships, and fun. Feel free to contact me by calling our Eagle Ridge office or by email at dnemethy1@dcsdk12.org.
