CLASSROOM RULES & EXPECTATIONS

Students at Eagle Ridge Elementary follow Franklin Covey’s “The Leader in Me” program to foster and develop personal leadership.  This will be reinforced in our classroom community.

Students in our classroom are also expected to: be respectful, make good choices and decisions, be kind and considerate, and be good role models to their peers.  Our class will be earning special rewards such as extra recess, extra choice time, class game day, stuffed animal day, lunch bunch, pajama day, etc. when leadership behaviors are exhibited.

In our classroom we use a clip chart to reinforce behavior.  Each day students start on green.  Students can move up on the clip chart to earn special prizes when following our rules and expectations. However, students who make bad choices are asked to move down on the clip chart leading to consequences, such as loss of privileges, missing out on special activities, or parent / principal contact.

Our 5 Classroom Rules:

1. Follow directions quickly.

2. Raise your hand for permission to speak.

3. Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat.

4. Make smart choices.

5. Keep your learning community happy.
