Homework is an excellent way to reinforce classroom learning.  It provides opportunities to teach students personal responsibility for that learning.  Establishing good homework habits now will help your child throughout the rest of their academic career.  It also provides parents with the opportunity to be involved in their child’s learning.   Homework is a reinforcement or practice of concepts or skills previously learned in class.

Homework will be sent home in yellow folders on Fridays and will be due back the following Friday.  It should take about 30-40 minutes each night, which includes reading.  If your child struggles to complete it OR whizzes through it, please let me know and we can discuss adjustments.

Please note: If homework is incomplete or not turned in by Friday morning, students will not participate in Friday Fun.  Homework is a student responsibility and is due first thing Friday morning.
